Inauguration of French Book Fair at Biel

Deputy Atef Majdalani, minister Marwan Hamadé, French minister of Culture Françoise Neyssen, French ambassador Bruno Foucher, the minister of Culture Ghattas Khoury and Belgian ambassador Alex Lenaerts inaugurating the French Book Fair at Biel.

 

The 24th edition of the French book Fair, organized by the French Institute of Lebanon was inaugurated on Saturday November 4 at Biel and is scheduled to remain until November 12, 2017.

This year, the Fair pays tribute to Samir Frangié. Gathering 90 French authors out of 180 invitees, among them Eric Emmanuel Schmitt and Leila Slimani. 80000 visitors are expected to visit the Fair and 200 conferences and discussions will be organized.
