Azzi & Osta
Fall-Winter 2018-2019 Couture collection.
Azzi & Osta the Lebanese designer duo organized at Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris, a cocktail in presence of international media, celebrities, fashion bloggers to showcase their Fall-Winter 2018-2019 collection.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the tragic passing of Czar Nikolai and the end of Czarist Russia. The designer duo built on their enchantment of the Russian Empire in their collection.
Nikolai was the last of the Romanov Dynasty to rule and the last Czar of «All the Russias», being considered a Martyr, a Saint and a Leader all at once. He possessed great personal charm, yet, his sensibility towards art and culture made both grounds flourish vastly under his reign, and served as an inspiration to the designers collection.
And so they have embarked upon a journey to pay tribute to the Last Czar and to that era, creating embodiments of its romanticism and magnificence.
Each piece of the Autumn Winter collection is a work of art in itself, and an embodiment of Russia’s icons.
The Fall-Winter 2018-2019 collection is defined by contoured silhouettes, intricately cut fabrics, conceptual volumes, as well as a palette of icy whites, sky blues, shell pinks, magenta, mints, silvers and golds, all inspired by the facades of Russian Palaces, Squares, and Nature. The royalty of it all comes to life through the use of rich silks, satins, tulles and elaborate embroideries translating the grandeur of the Czarist times and the frosty winters of Russia.
Azzi & Osta’s iconic fabric manipulation and swirly voluminous designs add an elegant contemporary twist to the Collection.
The Autumn Winter 2018/2019 collection is now available to order.
