Des milliers de passionn\u00e9s \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents\u00a0 \u00e0 Cannes aux rassemblements du PCYC pour admirer des centaines de voiliers d\u2019\u00e9poque et classiques s\u2019affronter. En plus des troph\u00e9es de la saison, des montres de sport prestigieuses Officine Panerai ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 remises aux vainqueurs des cat\u00e9gories Big Boats, \u00c9poque, Classiques et Esprit de Tradition des R\u00e9gates Royales. Le troph\u00e9e du Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge 2014 a \u00e9t\u00e9 attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 Mariquita un cotre aurique construit en 1911 de 31m, cat\u00e9gorie Big Boats, Chinook construit en 1916 de 19.8m, cat\u00e9gorie Epoque, et Namib construit en 1966 de 12m, cat\u00e9gorie Classiques. Ces trois prestigieux voiliers en bois ont ajout\u00e9 leur nom au Tableau d\u2019or du Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge dont Cannes \u00e9tait la 6e et derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape. Son capitaine de bord Andrew Cully nous fait visiter ce voilier et nous raconte la passionnante histoire de sa restauration. En 1936 Officine Panerai cr\u00e9e \u00e0 Florence le premier prototype de la montre Radiomir pour la Marine Royale Italienne. A la m\u00eame date, \u00e0 plusieurs kilom\u00e8tres de l\u00e0 \u00e0 Fairlie en Ecosse, l\u2019architecte Naval William Fife III met la derni\u00e8re touche au projet d\u2019Eilean qui veut dire en ga\u00e9lique \u00abpetite \u00eele\u00bb. Soixante-dix ans plus tard, en 2006, aux Cara\u00efbes, les destins d\u2019Eilean et d\u2019Officine Panerai se croisent lors de l\u2019Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. Angelo Bonati tombe sous le charme de ce bateau \u00e0 l\u2019abandon barr\u00e9 par divers propri\u00e9taires passionn\u00e9s et qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 son actif une vie tr\u00e9pidante sur les plus belles mers du monde. Officine Panerai rach\u00e8te Eilean et le restaure dans le chantier naval F. Del Carlos de Viareggio en Italie suivant les plans originaux et les techniques de travail de l\u2019\u00e9poque. Long d\u2019un peu plus de 22 m\u00e8tres, Eilean est un voilier gr\u00e9\u00e9 en ketch bermudien, un deux-m\u00e2ts sur lesquels sont hiss\u00e9es deux puissantes grand-voiles, en composite: le bord\u00e9 en teck Burma est en effet soutenu par une charpente m\u00e9tallique en fer zingu\u00e9. Remis \u00e0 flot fin 2009 il repr\u00e9sente Panerai \u00e0 l\u2019occasion des rassemblements de voiliers d\u2019\u00e9poque de Panerai Classic.<\/p>\n<p><a
