La Palestine, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les Evangiles situent la pr\u00e9dication du Christ; entre la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e et l\u2019Euphrate, le long du Nil, sur les rives du Bosphore, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e et implant\u00e9e la nouvelle religion avant qu\u2019elle ne se r\u00e9pande. Evoquer le christianisme oriental sous toutes ses facettes: historique, politique, cultuelle et culturelle, permet de pr\u00e9senter les chr\u00e9tiens d\u2019Orient dans leur pluralit\u00e9 et dans la complexit\u00e9 de leur histoire mill\u00e9naire. De l\u2019aust\u00e8re gr\u00e2ce pal\u00e9ochr\u00e9tienne aux ors de l\u2019iconostase, des conciles fondateurs aux grands schismes et au renouveau des missions, de la place singuli\u00e8re des chr\u00e9tiens apr\u00e8s la conqu\u00eate musulmane au r\u00f4le exceptionnel qu\u2019ils jou\u00e8rent dans l\u2019essor du nationalisme arabe, le parcours est jalonn\u00e9 d\u2019\u0153uvres somptueuses.
